Speaking at Bayern's training camp in Orlando ahead of the Club World Cup, Eberl outlined their ambitions. "We already have extraordinary players: Michael Olise, Jamal Musiala, Harry Kane, Joshua Kimmich, and others. Now we're working to find another exceptional talent to succeed with us," he said.
The urgency for a new signing intensified after Bayern missed out on Bayer Leverkusen's Florian Wirtz, who is nearing a move to Liverpool.
Eberl admitted the financial hurdle was too steep. "Honestly, I'm not sure we could have matched what Liverpool are reportedly paying," he said. "Wirtz is a phenomenal player, and we could have pictured him here, but when one door closes, another opens."
Recent posts on X have linked Bayern with Athletic Club's dynamic winger Nico Williams as their prime target, though Eberl remained coy. "There are many names out there," he said, keeping plans close to his chest.
Bayern are also bracing for potential departures. Eberl addressed speculation surrounding Minjae Kim, Kingsley Coman, Sacha Boey, and Bryan Zaragoza.
On Kim, sidelined by Achilles tendon issues, Eberl said, "Minjae's recovery is under control. He's eager to return and will start training soon. He'll need to fight for his place in our strong defensive unit."
Coman's future remains uncertain, with Eberl noting, "King has been exceptional for Bayern over the years. He's now physically stable, and we hope he'll shine at the Club World Cup. We'll assess his role after that."
For Boey and Zaragoza, Eberl was more direct. "We have three right-backs, Konrad Laimer, Josip Stanisic, and Sacha. That's a lot. Sacha will play for us now, but we'll see what the future holds," he said.
On Zaragoza, who impressed on loan at Osasuna, Eberl added, "Bryan showed real quality, even earning a Spain call-up. We're open to a transfer."
Bayern's proactive approach in the transfer market, coupled with their squad reshuffle, signals an action-packed window as they aim to dominate both domestically and in Europe.
