Bournemouth star Antoine Semenyo travels to Manchester ahead of Man City move

The 26-year-old forward is set to undergo a medical ahead of the move, which comes after a strong season in which he has scored ten league goals in 20 appearances. Most recently, Semenyo struck the winning goal in Bournemouth's victory over Tottenham Hotspur.

The transfer comes after a 60-million-pound release clause in Semenyo's contract became active at the start of the January window, attracting interest from Manchester United, Liverpool, and Chelsea. Ultimately, it is Manchester City who have won the race to secure his signature.

The deal is reportedly worth 62.5 million, slightly above the release clause, with the fee to be paid in full over 24 months. Manchester City will also provide 1.5 million in performance-related bonuses.

Additionally, Bournemouth will benefit from ten per cent of any profit if City decide to sell Semenyo in the future.

Sources suggest that Bournemouth are satisfied with the agreement, seeing it as a lucrative outcome for one of their standout players this season.

Semenyo's arrival at the Etihad Stadium is expected to bolster City's attacking options as they look to maintain their domestic and European ambitions.

"I am very happy for him. He deserves it," said Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola, after Semenyo's winner against Tottenham.

"It was a fairytale moment and one he will never forget. He's an incredible player. Not a lot of players would have done what he did."
