Bradley Grobler nets a double as Sekhukhune United sink Kaizer Chiefs

It was a first defeat of the campaign for Amakhosi while it was also the first goals they have conceded in six matches while Sekhukhune and second-placed Mamelodi Sundowns remain the only unbeaten teams.

It was the visitors that took an early lead after just five minutes when Grobler showed up at the far-post to convert a low cross from Tsepo Matsimbi.

Chiefs equalised in the 13th minute when Makabi Lilepo did well to get to the right-hand side byline and got a ball into the box that was bundled into the back of the net by Flavio Silva.

Amkhosi grew in confidence after their goal and Gaston Sirino had a long-range effort by Sekhukhune shot-stopper Toaster Nsabata.

The visitors took the game away with two goals in six second-half minutes with Grobler and Thabang Monare on the score sheet.

It was only just after the interval when Lilepo carelessly gave away possession close to his own goal and Sekhukhune pounced as Grobler showed good compoure to turn and finish.

It was 3-1 just six minutes later and this time it was route one football that worked as Grobler flicked on a long ball with Monare making the run in behind before beating home goalkeeper Brandon Peterson.

The home side tried in vein to start a fightback as Matsimbi and his defence was solid enough to see out the contest and take maximum points.
