Bundesliga roundup: Dortmund storm to victory, Stuttgart edge five-goal thriller

Dortmund 3-0 Werder Bremen

Borussia Dortmund secured a convincing victory at the Signal Iduna Park, fuelled by a dominant second-half display.

The breakthrough came early when Nico Schlotterbeck headed home from a corner in the 11th minute. While Bremen stayed competitive for over an hour, Dortmund's quality eventually told.

Marcel Sabitzer doubled the lead with a powerful strike from the edge of the box before Serhou Guirassy ended his recent goal drought, tapping in late to ensure BVB remains firmly in the title hunt.

Mainz 2-1 Heidenheim

In a high-stakes "six-pointer" at the bottom of the table, Mainz secured their first home win of the season under new coach Urs Fischer.

Captain Silvan Widmer opened the scoring with a crisp volley following a defensive error, and Nadiem Amiri extended the lead shortly after halftime.

Heidenheim's Stefan Schimmer pulled one back to set up a nervous finale, but Mainz held on. The result sees Mainz leapfrog Heidenheim, handing their opponents the unwanted spot at the bottom of the league.

Stuttgart 3-2 Eintracht Frankfurt

This five-goal thriller at the MHP Arena kept fans on the edge of their seats.

Frankfurt took an early lead through Rasmus Kristensen, but Stuttgart responded quickly with goals from Ermedin Demirovic and Deniz Undav to lead 2-1 at the break.

Frankfurt's debutant Ayoube Amaimouni-Echghouyab looked to have snatched a point with an 80th-minute equaliser. However, Nikolas Nartey became the hero, scoring his first-ever Bundesliga goal in the dying minutes to secure a vital three points for the Swabians.
