Cape Town City announce signing of former Mamelodi Sundowns defender Sifiso Ngobeni

The 28-year-old left back parted ways with the Brazilians at the end of last season after four years but just 18 appearances as he spent much of his time with the club out on loan.

Ngobeni joined Sundowns from Bloemfontein Celtic in 2021 and went on to play for SuperSport United and AmaZulu.

Last term he made 11 appearances for Usuthu, with one assist and he joins the Citizens on a free transfer.

A club statement read: “We are delighted to announce the signing of defender, Sifiso Ngobeni. Born in Mamelodi. Built for The City. Welcome to the City family, Sifiso Ngobeni.”
