Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella hints at Barcelona return

Speaking while on international duty with Spain, Cucurella reflected on the possibility of leaving Stamford Bridge. "At the end of the day, Spain is always Spain - it's my country and where I grew up, and you always think about going back," he said.

"I'm very happy here [in England], my family too, and as a life experience, it's a very good one."

When asked if he would consider an immediate move to Barcelona, Cucurella acknowledged the challenge. "Well, it's clear that if something like that happens, it's difficult to turn them down, but I'd have to consider it," he said.

He added that family considerations would play a key role in any decision: "At the end of the day, it's not just about me - I'd also have to think about my family, maybe, what's best for them or for all of us, but as I said before, I'm not thinking about that right now. If it happens, it happens, and we'll see what we decide."

Cucurella's comments come amid growing speculation linking Chelsea players with moves back to Spain. His team-mate Enzo Fernandez recently fuelled rumours of a switch to Real Madrid, saying he could consider living in the Spanish capital.

For now, Cucurella remains focused on Chelsea and his international duties, but his words suggest that a return to his boyhood club could be on the cards in the future.
