Coventry City boss Frank Lampard heaps praise on Ghana striker Brandon Thomas-Asante

The 26-year-old former MK Dons and West Brom forward has netted eight goals in 11 Championship games this season.

He netted twice in the Sky Blues' 2-1 win over Portsmouth on Tuesday night to extend his side's lead at the top of the table to four points.

Speaking after the match, Lampard said on Sky Sports: "All credit to him because he works so hard.

"You move him around and nothing changes - he's effective in the 10, on the sides, up front, his pressing is great.

"You can see his talent. He needs to keep going with that.”

Coventry are next in action at home to Watford at the Coventry Building Society Arena on Saturday.
