David Raya set for 100th Arsenal appearance against Nottingham Forest

The Spanish goalkeeper has started every match for Arsenal since his debut in September 2023, making him the 20th goalkeeper in the club's history to reach a century of games.

Raya's journey at Arsenal began with a 1-0 victory over Everton, and since then he has kept 41 clean sheets. If he maintains a shutout today, he would improve his remarkable record to a clean sheet every 2.38 games, the best ratio of any Arsenal goalkeeper with more than 100 appearances.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has praised Raya's consistency, saying, "David has been a rock for us since he arrived. His leadership at the back and ability to make big saves in crucial moments has made a real difference to our squad."

This season, Raya has featured in three Premier League matches, keeping two clean sheets, and has already made a significant impact in Arsenal's early fixtures.

Across all competitions, he has also played 22 Champions League games, three League Cup matches, and once in the FA Cup.

Raya's standout performances include his role in Arsenal's penalty shoot-out win over Porto in the 2023/24 Champions League and a series of vital saves against Manchester United last season. His presence in goal continues to provide Arsenal with stability as they push for a strong finish in the 2025/26 Premier League campaign.

Today's fixture sees Arsenal looking to build momentum after a mixed start to the season, and Raya's milestone appearance adds extra motivation for the team.
