Hossam Hassan stays diplomatic after Egypt's controversial victory over Bafana Bafana
Egypt head coach Hossam Hassan has refrained from criticizing the referees following his side's narrow 1-0 win over Bafana Bafana on Friday.

The heavyweight encounter will take place at the Complexe Sportif de Fes and is widely viewed as an early benchmark for both sides in a tightly contested group.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Chelle praised Tunisia's tactical discipline and strong recent performances, particularly in World Cup qualifying, but insisted Nigeria are focused on development rather than intimidation.
"Tunisia are a big team with a strong playing identity and a solid World Cup qualifying campaign," Chelle told journalists.
"They play good football and started this tournament very well. But we also have a good team, and we are improving with every match."
The Franco-Ivorian coach admitted Tunisia's structure and organisation would test Nigeria's decision-making, but hinted at tactical flexibility depending on how the contest unfolds.
"In my mind, we can let Tunisia have the ball and play directly when we recover it, or continue with our philosophy," he explained. "There is no pressure on us. This tournament is an opportunity to correct what went wrong before and continue building our identity."
Chelle's comments underline a pragmatic approach, as he looks to balance structure with Nigeria's natural strengths - athleticism, speed in transition and attacking power.
Defensive leader Calvin Bassey has already spoken of the squad's belief, while Victor Osimhen's presence up front could prove decisive should Nigeria opt for a counter-attacking approach. The striker, now plying his trade at Galatasaray, remains central to the Super Eagles' attacking threat.
While Tunisia edged Nigeria 1-0 in their last AFCON meeting in 2021, Chelle was keen to stress that AFCON 2025 represents a fresh chapter.
Nigeria see the match as both a competitive test and a key step in their rebuilding journey, with Chelle making one thing clear: the Super Eagles may play without pressure, but not without ambition.
