Fernando Da Cruz backs Kaizer Chiefs to overturn Red Arrows deficit
Kaizer Chiefs coach Fernando Da Cruz remains convinced that his side can turn their CAF Confederation Cup campaign around despite suffering a narrow defeat to Red Arrows.

City took a significant step towards the group stages with the win at Moses Mabhida Stadium, but their failure to capitalise on numerous chances left Tinkler frustrated ahead of the decisive return leg in Mauritius.
The hosts appeared to be in control after Haashim Domingo opened the scoring in the first half, with Gaston Sirino extending their advantage just 46 seconds after the restart.
However, goalkeeper Frederick Asare's error in the 57th minute allowed Louis Yowan to score for the visitors, giving the Mauritian side a crucial away goal. Substitute Tashreeq Morris converted a late penalty to restore City's two-goal advantage.
Despite the victory, Tinkler was disappointed that his team failed to build a more commanding lead and keep a clean sheet.
"As much as I'm happy with the win, I'm not entirely happy with the result. We definitely would have preferred a clean sheet. We were wasteful, especially in the first half. In the second half, yes, we got the second goal, but then complacency set in," he told reporters.
"That complacency cannot be allowed in this competition, especially against teams that, realistically, are not competing at our level in my view."
The former Orlando Pirates and SuperSport United coach also highlighted Jean Lubamba's missed opportunity, explaining that the forward must improve his movement and decision-making in front of goal.
The Congolese striker, who scored the decisive goal in last season's Nedbank Cup final to secure City's maiden trophy, had contributed to the team's opening two goals but failed to convert a promising chance from close range.
Tinkler believes Lubamba's tendency to rely on his stronger left foot affected his finishing.
"He has a right foot, because the angle is almost impossible for him to use his left foot," Tinkler said.
"But those are the things he still needs to learn. It's about the timing of his run."
City will travel to Mauritius on Friday for the second leg to be played on Sunday, where they will aim to protect their advantage and continue their historic pursuit of a place in the CAF Confederation Cup group stages.
