Eric Tinkler says Sekhukhune United could still assess potential new signings

The former Cape Town City boss was brought into the club towards the end of last season and guided the side to an impressive fourth-placed finish.

He oversaw a complete overhaul of his squad with a number of quality signings including Manuel Sapunga, Tsepo Matsimbi, Thokolo Medupi, Bradley Grobler and Miguel Timm.

Sekhukhune started their new campaign with four wins and one draw from their opening five games and currently top the standings.

FARPost say the club are potentially interested in former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Rivaldo Coetzee.

When asked is he was still planning on adding to his squad, Tinker told the publication: "Possibly, I can never say never.

"There is a possibility of one or two new signings that we have this opportunity now during the FIFA break to have a look at players that are coming for assessments.

"More importantly, it is recovery. As I said, eight games in a space of a month. So I have a lot of tired bodies, legs and tired minds. So I am going to give them three days off just to recover."
