Ezri Konsa injury doubt as Arsenal prepare to face Leeds

The off-season arrival, who joined the Gunners for 55 million pounds, returned from England duty ahead of schedule after struggling with an injury.

Konsa has reportedly been managing a dead leg in recent weeks and suffered another knock during England's 7-0 victory over Croatia last weekend.

Thomas Tuchel confirmed on Monday that the defender had been dealing with the issue during the international break, before Konsa withdrew from the squad and missed Tuesday's clash with Czechia.

While the problem is not considered serious, it remains uncertain whether he will recover sufficiently to feature at Leeds.

Arsenal will definitely be without Christos Tzolis, who sustained a hamstring injury while representing Greece. The off-season signing is expected to spend around three weeks on the sidelines.

Kai Havertz is another player whose availability is in doubt after he picked up a hamstring problem during Germany's opening fixture of the international window. He was subsequently released from the squad early.

Declan Rice also pulled out of England duty, although he is not thought to have suffered an injury. Martin Odegaard, meanwhile, took a knock to his ankle with Norway but still started their final match on Sunday before being afforded some rest.

There is some positive news, with Ben White, Piero Hincapie and Yerson Mosquera all recently returning to training as Arsenal prepare to visit Leeds.
