Simba SC coach Steve Barker outlines challenges of Tanzanian Premier League
Simba SC coach Steve Barker admits it has taken time for him to adjust to the "challenging" playing surfaces that exist in the Tanzanian Premier League.

The Reds of Msimbazi held onto an early first half strike from Ugandan forward Steven Mukwala to secure the three points in a hard-fought match against the already relegated Kagera Sugar Millers.
The victory helped Simba to remain second on the table with 78 points, one behind Yanga SC, who they will face in the crucial rescheduled Kariakoo derby this Wednesday 25 June.
"It was very difficult to play a match with so much stress," said Davids to Pan-Africa Football.
"You know, not getting the second goal in the first half, and then just trying to kill the game with possession, not moving forward, they were not pressing, they were staying back, so it was about running the time off because one eye is on the next match."
Kagera came into the match after their first relegation in 20 years from the top-flight division had already been confirmed, alongside Ken Gold FC.
"Kagera had nothing to play for, so it was very important for us to do everything and get the three points, it is a job well done, and now our focus shifts to the next game," added the former Orlando Pirates assistant coach.
The South African coach knows that a victory against their rivals this Wednesday will put them in pole position for Tanzanian Premier League title, with only four matches left to play.
"We know we got another big match coming in two days' time, so it was fair enough to freshen up the squad. Freshness of the squad was the top priority with the third game in a week and well done to the players for getting the three points."
Simba will take on Young Africans at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium, where they will seek to avenge their 1-0 loss against their rivals in their first-round league clash.
