The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) announced the disciplinary measures on Monday, confirming that forward Mostafa Zico had received a five-match ban, while Ibrahim Hassan was also suspended for three games.
The sanctions stem from Egypt's 3-2 defeat to Argentina in Atlanta, United States, on 6 July. Egypt appeared on course for the quarter-finals after establishing a two-goal advantage, but Argentina staged a late comeback to secure progression.
Several refereeing decisions angered the Egyptian contingent, including the disallowing of a goal early in the second half. A member of Egypt's coaching staff was subsequently sent off after Argentina scored the decisive goal.
Hossam Hassan accused Argentina of cheating Egypt out of a place in the last eight, with his post-match remarks cited as the reason for his suspension.
The EFA has requested a comprehensive explanation from FIFA outlining the grounds for the disciplinary decisions. The association will examine its legal options once it receives the response, with an appeal remaining a possibility.
"The Egyptian Football Association received the decisions of the FIFA Disciplinary Committee regarding Hossam Hassan, the national team coach, Ibrahim Hassan, the team manager, and player Mostafa Zico," the association said in a statement.
