Former Everton star Dominic Calvert-Lewin completes Leeds United transfer

The England international forward, who turned 28 this year, arrives at Elland Road with a wealth of Premier League experience and a proven record at the highest level.

Calvert-Lewin made his name at Everton after joining from Sheffield United, his hometown club, in 2016.

Following productive loan spells earlier in his career, he quickly established himself at Goodison Park, marking his Premier League debut in a 2-1 win over Arsenal before netting his first top-flight goal against Hull City later that season.

Over nine years with the Toffees, he scored 57 goals in 239 league appearances and enjoyed his most prolific campaign in 2020/21, directly contributing to 26 goals.

His consistency saw him break into the England senior side, where he scored in his first few appearances and was part of Gareth Southgate’s squad that reached the UEFA Euro 2020 final.

At youth level, Calvert-Lewin was the hero of the 2017 U20 World Cup, netting the winning goal in the final as England lifted the trophy.

The forward also brings European experience, having featured nine times in the Europa League for Everton during the 2016/17 season. Last year, he played 26 Premier League matches, helping the Merseyside club to a mid-table finish.
