George Matlou signs on for another season with Kaizer Chiefs

The 27-year-old former Bidvest Wits midfielder joined Amakhosi from Moroka Swallows in 2022 and has gone on to play 41 times in all competitions, assisting with three goals.

His previous contract expired at the end of last season but he has since signed a new deal to keep him at the club this campaign.

Amakhosi have not yet confirmed the news, but the player's Agency Mscsports Talent Management Division say the deal is done.

"George Matlou commits to the journey! The midfielder extends his stay with the Amakhosi," said the agency.

Matlou has made one appearance for Chiefs this season, playing the final minutes of the recent Betway Premiership win over Golden Arrows.
