Golden Arrows part ways with Manqoba Mngqithi

The Durban-based club have recently parted ways Mnqithi after his third stint, with assistant coaches Kagiso Dikgacoi and Musa Bilankulu as well as goalkeeper coach Marcus Mashilo also leaving the team.

Abafana Bes'thende ended the 2025/26 Betway Premiership campaign in sixth place on the table while getting knocked out in the semi-finals of the MTN8 and Carling Knockout.

Mngqithi had previously been linked with the vacant head coach position at Kaizer Chiefs, however those rumours have cooled with the Soweto giants widely expected to announce Fernando Da Cruz to lead the club.

He had led the Lamontville-outfit in 184 matches in total over three separate stints and remains the only coach to win a domestic trophy with Arrows in the 2009/10 season.
