Haaland declares Man City's upcoming Burnley clash a "Final" in title chase

Haaland declares Man City's upcoming Burnley clash a "Final" in title chase

The victory at the Etihad Stadium cut Arsenal's lead at the top of the table to just three points, with City still holding a game in hand.

A win in midweek would move Pep Guardiola's side level on points with the Gunners and potentially top the table on goal difference or goals scored, depending on the margin.

Haaland, who scored the decisive goal against Arsenal, stressed the importance of maintaining focus as the title race tightens.

"On Wednesday we're having a final. The Burnley game is as important as this game," Haaland said. "We need to focus, stay humble."

Burnley FC now stand between City and the chance to pile more pressure on Arsenal, who have led the Premier League since October but are being pushed hard in the closing stages of the season.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has seen his side's advantage shrink, with City's momentum growing at a key moment in the campaign. The Gunners are next in action against Newcastle United on Saturday, a match that could further shape the title picture depending on City's result in midweek.

With both sides still firmly in control of their own fate, the race remains finely balanced - and Haaland's "final" warning underlines just how little room for error remains.
