Harry Kane eyes DFB-Pokal Cup glory after Bundesliga title triumph

The striker admitted the celebrations only fuelled his hunger for more success, with Bayern preparing for a decisive semi-final clash against Bayer Leverkusen at the BayArena on Wednesday.

"Of course it's a motivation," Kane told BILD. "We spoke a lot at the start of the season about the cup being a priority for us."

Despite Bayern's domestic dominance, Kane acknowledged that knockout football presents a different challenge. "It's been too long since our club won this competition - especially considering how dominant we've been in the league," he said.

Bayern last lifted the German Cup in 2020, beating Leverkusen 4-2 in the final, and Kane made it clear that history adds extra edge to the upcoming tie.

"It's tough to win the cup because it's a knockout competition," he explained. "You have to be there in every game, and we have been this season. We've had some difficult matches but still found a way to win."

The England captain underlined the importance of the occasion, particularly with a place in the final within reach. "Now we're one step away from the final, and we know how important it is to the fans. We have to get there."

With the league title secured, Bayern's focus is now firmly on Berlin - and Kane's determination suggests he is not ready to settle for just one trophy this season.
