Harry Kane open to Bayern Munich future as CEO welcomes contract talk

Speaking after the England captain hinted at a longer stay in Germany, Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen made it clear the striker remained central to the club's plans.

Kane joined Bayern from Tottenham in the summer of 2023 and is under contract until June 2027. Kane has scored 115 goals and provided 27 assists in 121 games across all competitions for Bayern Munich since joining in August 2023. During a recent visit to a Bayern fan club, the forward spoke openly about feeling settled in Munich and did not rule out extending his deal.

Those comments quickly drew attention, and Dreesen welcomed what he described as "positive signals" from one of the club's most important players.

"If he said that, then I am happy about it," Dreesen said. "He is very important to our team with his goals, his style of play and his leadership skills."

The Bayern CEO stressed that Kane's influence went beyond his scoring record, pointing to his professionalism and authority within the dressing room. Since arriving in the Bundesliga, Kane has been a guaranteed starter and a focal point of the team, continuing that role under head coach Vincent Kompany.

While Kane's contract still has time to run, Dreesen confirmed that Bayern were approaching the period when long-term planning becomes more relevant. However, he played down any suggestion of urgency.

"We will certainly speak to each other at the appropriate and right time," Dreesen said. "We have great trust in the process and in Harry."

At 32, Kane remains a key figure for both club and country, and Bayern see him as a cornerstone of their current project. The strong relationship between Kane, his representatives and the Bayern board has helped maintain stability, with no tension around his future.
