Medeama coach praises players' resilience after Hohoe draw
Medeama SC head coach Ibrahim Tanko has lauded his team's fighting spirit following a 1-1 draw against Hohoe United in the Ghana Premier League.

The Phobians had taken an early lead through Hamza Issah, but two quick-fire goals in the second half turned the tide in Kotoko's favour. A headed own goal by Konadu Yiadom and a close-range finish from Kwame Opoku sealed a 2-1 victory for the Porcupine Warriors.
The result marked Dramani's first major test since taking over from Ivorian coach Aboubakar Ouattara in June. While the outcome was disappointing, the former Ghana assistant coach drew encouragement from the team's overall performance.
"It's part of the industry. At a time we were controlling, we lost a key player [Osei Asibey]. They took a chance, and so we have to acknowledge that. We are in a progressive process," Dramani told Panafricafootball.com.
"I'm very impressed with the composition and execution. There is a lot we have done, but there is a lot we have to put in. I believe we will get there with some adjustments. We love the fans so much. We want to see more of this."
The win handed Kotoko their ninth President's Cup title, while Hearts remained on six.
Next for Hearts of Oak is a trip to Nigeria, where they will compete in the 2025 Eko International Cup.
Asante Kotoko, meanwhile, are set to face league champions Bibiani Gold Stars in the "Champion of Champions" clash before heading to South Africa for a high-profile friendly against Kaizer Chiefs at Moses Mabhida Stadium.
