The England captain has been rewarded for his outstanding performances since joining Bayern, with reports describing the agreement as the most lucrative contract in the club's history and potentially making him Europe's highest-paid player.
"I feel at home at FC Bayern: I love the club, the fans, the city of Munich - we have a fantastic team and a fantastic coach in Vincent Kompany," Kane said.
"It makes me very proud to be part of this club. My whole family is very happy here, I wanted to stay, I'm looking forward to the future and want to win many more titles with this great club."
Kane's decision comes after a remarkable season in which he scored 73 goals for club and country, helped Bayern win the Bundesliga and German Cup, and became the first Englishman in 25 years to win the Ballon d'Or.
Bayern sporting director Max Eberl welcomed the agreement, believing Kane's commitment sends an important message about the club's ambitions.
"This key contract extension gives us planning security. It sends a signal that the biggest goals are possible at FC Bayern. Players like Harry Kane give a team unique opportunities," Eberl said.
"We are very pleased that he will continue to be a defining figure who helps determine the direction here, and with whom we can further shape our squad in the future."
The 33-year-old has scored 102 goals in 102 appearances for Bayern, finishing as the Bundesliga's leading scorer in each of his three seasons at the club. He has also won the European Golden Shoe twice.
Kane had been linked with a Premier League return, where he is chasing Alan Shearer's record of 260 goals and remains 47 short. However, his new contract makes clear that his immediate ambitions lie in Germany.
His next major target will be helping Bayern reclaim the Champions League, a trophy they last won in 2020.
