'I'll be fine for the final' - Ousmane Dembele calms PSG injury fears ahead of Arsenal clash

The PSG forward suffered a scare during the club's final league match against Paris FC when he limped off in the first half. His absence from training on Wednesday also raised questions about whether he would be available for the biggest match of the season.

However, speaking during PSG's Champions League media day with RMC Sport, Dembele made it clear he expects to be fully fit for the final in Budapest.

"I'm doing very well," Dembele said. "I had a little scare against Paris FC but I'm doing ok, and I'll be fine for the final."

The France international also dismissed doubts about his condition ahead of the May 30 clash.

"Yeah, yeah. I think so," he said when asked if he would be at full fitness. "I never had any doubts about that.

"I hope to be on the pitch on May 30, if the coach picks me!"

Dembele admitted his decision to leave the pitch early was influenced by his injury history. The winger has dealt with several setbacks throughout his career and did not want to risk making the problem worse before the final.

"I've always had little injury scares or big injuries in my career, whether it's been here at PSG or before," he explained. "With a big game such as the final coming up, I preferred to come off the pitch and not take any risks."

The 2026 UEFA Champions League final will be played at the Puskas Arena in Budapest on May 30, where PSG will face newly crowned Premier League champions Arsenal in one of the most anticipated finals in recent years.
