Ismael Toure leaves Stellenbosch for UAE

The 27-year-old former ASEC Mimosas and Marumo Gallants centre-back has swapped the Betway Premiership for a move to United Arab Emirates Pro League side FC Baniyas.

Toure spent two seasons with Stellies, making 76 appearances across all competitions.

During his time with the club they won the 2023 Carling Knockout, were runners-up in the 2024 MTN8 final and made it to the semi-finals of this season's CAF Confederation Cup.

A club statement read: "Everyone at Stellenbosch FC would like to thank Ismael for his service to the club and wish him well as he embarks on the next chapter of his career in the United Arab Emirates."

Toure is the fifth player to leave Stellies this off-season after the club recently parted ways with Liam De Kock, Brian Onyango, Shaakir Ahmed and Sihle Nduli.
