Jadon Sancho spends pre-season training at Manchester non-league club Flixton
The 26-year-old has been using the facilities at Flixton, who compete in the 10th tier of English football, while weighing up his next move in the transfer market.
Sancho arrived at Manchester United from Borussia Dortmund in 2021 in a deal worth around 73 million pounds, but he failed to secure a regular place in the team. His time at Old Trafford came to a difficult end after he publicly claimed he had been made a "scapegoat", leading to his exclusion from the first-team squad.
He returned to Borussia Dortmund on loan before spending the following season with Chelsea, where he scored in the UEFA Conference League final.
Sancho then joined Aston Villa on loan for the 2025/26 season and was part of the squad that lifted the UEFA Europa League trophy. However, he was unable to cement a regular starting role and Villa decided against making the move permanent.
After returning to Manchester United, Sancho was released in June and is now available as a free agent.
The former England international has been linked with a move to Qatari side Al Rayyan, although no deal has yet been completed.
Sancho recently thanked Flixton for allowing him to train with the club, praising the standard of the facilities in Greater Manchester as he continues to work on his fitness ahead of securing a new club.
