Kaizer Chiefs announce Matlou, Mashiane departures
Kaizer Chiefs have announced that the club have parted ways with attacking midfielder George Matlou and wingback Happy Mashiane ahead of the upcoming 2026/27 campaign.

Speaking at the launch of the pre-season event, Marketing Director Jessica Motaung revealed that developments concerning the club's coaching structure and squad changes would be communicated in the near future.
She added that the new technical staff, incoming players and the club's latest kit will all be showcased during the Toyota Cup.
The annual fixture is scheduled for 26 July at the Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace, where Amakhosi will take on Zimbabwean champions Scottland FC.
"First and foremost, thank you to the coaches and the technical team for the wonderful work that they've done, getting us third," she said on the sidelines of the Toyota Cup launch.
"And certainly, as we move forward the mandate and the announcements will be made in due course regarding the technical team and where we intend to go.
"But certainly, Chiefs is a team that is contending for what is on the table and making sure that we continue to rise to get success."
She added: "I say to everyone, today is about the Toyota Cup, but in the next few days, in the next few weeks there will be many announcements coming out of the Amakhosi home to say these are the changes and this is where we're going."
Chiefs are yet to officially name a permanent head coach following recent changes behind the scenes. The club opted against extending the contracts of interim co-coaches Cedric Kaze and Khalil Ben Youssef, who had overseen the team during the opening stages of the campaign.
The duo stepped into the role after the departure of Nasreddine Nabi.
