Kaizer Chiefs announce Matlou, Mashiane departures

Amakhosi confirmed that they will not be renewing Matlou's contract following four seasons with the club since joining from the now defunct Swallows in July 2022.

The 27-year-old made 46 appearances for Chiefs, providing three assists with the club while playing a key role in the 2024/25 Nedbank Cup title win.

Meanwhile, Happy Mashiane has also left the club following the mutual termination of his contract after playing 69 matches for the Soweto giants, scoring four goals while providing five assists since his promotion from the development structure.

The 28-year-old wingback was part of the squad that reached the CAF Champions League final in 2021 but spent last season on loan with Siwelele FC.

Chiefs are expected to announce more departures and arrivals ahead of the 2026/27.
