John Maduka appointed new Magesi head coach

The former Bloemfontein Celtic and Maritzburg United boss found himself out of a job after the Premier Soccer League expelled Royal AM from the South African top-flight last term.

Maduka takes over at Magesi from Owen Da Gama, who recently parted ways despite leading the club from the relegation places to a 13th placed league finish in their first season in the South African top-flight.

Da Gama was only appointed after Clinton Larsen stepped down despite leading the team to victory in the Carling Knockout Cup.

A post on the club's social media accounts read: "HE'S HERE.

"Magesi Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of John Maduka as head coach.

"Welcome to the family!"
