Tottenham sack head coach Thomas Frank after eight months in charge
Tottenham have sacked head coach Thomas Frank after eight months in charge following Tuesday's 2-1 home defeat to Newcastle United.

The 26-year-old Germany international will miss Thursday night's Premier League trip to Brentford, Sunday's FA Cup fourth-round tie against Wigan and league fixtures away to Wolves and Tottenham, including the north London derby later this month.
Havertz had started three of Arsenal's last four matches, and his absence compounds Mikel Arteta's growing problems in attacking midfield.
Mikel Merino has been ruled out for most of the remainder of the season after undergoing foot surgery, while captain Martin Ødegaard, Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard will all face late fitness tests ahead of the visit to the Gtech Community Stadium.
Eberechi Eze has been identified as another potential attacking midfield option for Arteta, but squad flexibility has been limited by Ethan Nwaneri's loan move.
The teenager joined Marseille on a six-month deal in January, attracted by the chance to work under Roberto De Zerbi.
Despite De Zerbi's departure this week and Arsenal's mounting injury concerns, there is no recall clause in the agreement and Nwaneri will remain in France until the end of the campaign.
Havertz's latest setback continues a frustrating run of injuries. He missed five months earlier this season after suffering a knee injury on the opening day.
