Kaizer Chiefs not done signing players, says Jessica Motaung

Amakhosi ended a decade of hurt when they beat rivals Orlando Pirates to win the Nedbank Cup last season and are hoping to capatalise on that feel-good factor.

They are busy preparing for the upcoming campaign and have already brought in Ethan Chislett, Thabiso Monyane, Flavio Silva, Paseka Mako, Nkanyiso Shinga and Siphesihle Ndlovu.

Recent reporting suggested that Chiefs are also close to completing a deal for Mamelodi Sundowns striker Etiosa Ighodaro.

Speaking after the return of the squad from their pre-season tour of the Netherlands, Motaung stopped short of confirming the new singings, but insisted the club are still bust in the transfer market.

Motaung said on IOL: "We're certainly looking to sign even more players. With the window open until September, I think our supporters can watch this space and know that we have more players that we will be signing.

“We are also excited with our youth players who showed during the pre-season that they know the Chiefs culture and how things are done at the club.”

Chiefs kick off their season with a league game against Stellenbosch on August 10.
