The talented 20-year-old joined the Citizens in October 2024 before a loan spell in the United States for Major League Soccer side Cincinnati FC's reserves, where he made nine appearances for their second team.

He was yet to break in the City’s first team, having spent two seasons in their DSTV Diski Challenge squad.

A statement from the Motsepe Foundation Championship club read: "Best of luck to Xhosa Manyana, who will spend the remainder of the 2025/26 season on loan at Kaizer Chiefs

"All the best, Xhosa!"
