Describing the encounter as a "clash between two African giants," Da Silva emphasised that progression from Group D is at the forefront of the squad's focus.

"It's an important moment for us. We've worked hard to get here, and we're fully focused because we want to progress to the next round," he said.

Da Silva's rise at Chiefs mirrors the club's own resurgence. Leading the team with six goals this season, he has become a key figure in Amakhosi's attack.

"I want to score more to help the team. But football is about teamwork. Our players set up chances, and I also have defensive duties. My contribution is for the team in every way I can," he said.

The rivalry with Zamalek stretches back decades, but the striker remains undaunted by history or Egypt's intimidating stadiums.

"They are a big team with experience at this level, but we are not daunted," Da Silva added.

"We have our mission and are only focused on getting the result we need. The vibes around this game feel like a cup final, and that's how we're viewing it."
