Luciano Spalletti linked with contract extension as Juventus move to keep Kenan Yildiz

Juventus's management have been impressed by his early impact and have already started work on a new two-year extension that would run until 2028.

Spalletti has insisted results matter more than contracts. "Give me whatever contract you want," he said. "I have to prove on the pitch that I deserve an extension. Otherwise, you'd be better off firing me."

Since replacing Igor Tudor, Juventus have shown a clear shift in style. The team have moved from a cautious, defensive approach to a more attacking, possession-based game built on quicker passing, greater creativity and more purpose in the final third. That change has brought more shots on target, improved finishing and greater tactical flexibility.

The improvement is reflected in the numbers. Under Spalletti, Juventus have averaged 2.18 points per game in Serie A, compared to 1.27 under Tudor. In his first eight league matches, Juventus collected 17 points, five more than Tudor managed over the same period.

Defensively, Juventus have also become more solid, conceding fewer shots on target and winning more duels thanks to a more aggressive midfield press. They currently sit fifth in Serie A with 32 points from 17 matches and remain firmly in the race for a top-four finish.

Spalletti has made it clear his ambition is long-term. "The desire to bring this club to the highest levels prevails," he said. "I'm obsessed with the idea of being able to change and improve this group."

Kenan Yildiz remains central to that project. The 20-year-old has scored six Serie A goals this season and continues to attract interest from Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea, with any deal likely to be valued at around one hundred million euros. Juventus believe securing Spalletti's future will strengthen their chances of keeping their key players and continuing their revival.
