Moises Caicedo confirms Chelsea's focus has switched to Bayern Munich clash
Moises Caicedo has said Chelsea are eager for their long-awaited return to the UEFA Champions League as they prepare to face Bayern Munich on Wednesday at the Allianz Arena.
The Colombian winger, who joined from Liverpool this summer in a deal worth about seventy-five million euros, has also provided two assists in his first four appearances.
On Saturday, Bayern crushed newly promoted Hamburger SV 5-0 at the Allianz Arena. Harry Kane grabbed a double, Serge Gnabry, Aleksandar Pavlovic and Diaz also scored in a dominant first half in which Bayern were already well in control.
Head coach Vincent Kompany said he was "proud of the improvements since he joined Bayern," pointing to overall cohesion, strong starts from the team and how players like Díaz are delivering under pressure.
Diaz has spoken of his delight at the move, saying he "joined the right team" and that the warm welcome from teammates and fans has helped him settle quickly.
With three wins from three, Bayern sit top of the Bundesliga, two points ahead of Borussia Dortmund. Hamburg remain winless, and face a tough climb.
Up next in the Bundesliga, Bayern travel to Hoffenheim. Diaz will be keen to extend his scoring run and consolidate this flying start.
