PSG came into the match under pressure after their Coupe de France exit earlier in the week, but Enrique felt his players responded in the right way. "After a defeat, the important thing is to see how the team reacts," the PSG head coach said.
"I was very happy with the attitude, the intensity and the way we played."
Dembele gave PSG an early lift by opening the scoring in the 13th minute, finishing confidently after linking up well with Vitinha. The French winger remained PSG's biggest threat throughout the first half, while Lille tried to stay compact and look for chances on the break.
Despite creating several openings, PSG had to remain patient after the interval. Enrique admitted his side needed to stay calm. "We controlled the game, but Lille defended well and made things difficult," he said. "We had to keep believing and keep moving the ball."
Dembele then produced the moment that settled the contest, weaving through defenders inside the box before lifting a delicate finish over the goalkeeper to make it 2-0. Enrique was full of praise for his forward, highlighting his work off the ball as much as his goals. "Ousmane's defensive effort is incredible," he said. "That kind of commitment helps the whole team."
PSG added a third goal in stoppage time through Bradley Barcola, punishing a late lapse to seal a convincing victory.
Enrique also took a moment to acknowledge players away on international duty, saying he was proud of those involved in major tournaments but smiling as he added, "Of course, I hope they come back as soon as possible."
The win strengthens PSG's grip on top spot, while Lille's defeat dents their push for European qualification as the season heads into a decisive phase.
