Richards Bay have confirmed the appointment of Dimitar Pantev as club's new head coach on a one-year deal following the departure of Ronnie Gabriel.
Mabasa joins Moroccan champions after Orlando Pirates exit
The 29-year-old joins the Moroccan side on a reported three-year contract as a free agent following his departure from Betway Premiership champions Orlando Pirates after spending the second half of the 2026/27 season on loan at Stellenbosch.
Mabasa left South Africa on Sunday with his agent Gary Cassisa before completing his deal on Monday, making him the third South African star to play in the Moroccan top division after Thembinkosi Lorch and Cassius Mailula [both Wydad Athletic].
He leaves former club Orlando Pirates as the second highest goalscorer [50 goals] after Benedict Vilakazi [52], while also providing six assists in all competitions.
"Sniper" made 249 appearances in the Premier Soccer League, scoring 74 goals in total during his spells at Pirates, Sekhukhune United, Bloemfontein Celtic, Swallows and Stellenbosch.
