Maduka Okoye credits Udinese goalkeeper coach for top form

The 24-year-old Nigerian shotstopper joined the club from English Championship side Watford, where he struggled for game-time.

He started the 2023/24 campaign on the bench, before cementing his place as first-choice for the remainder of the season and played a significant role as the club avoided relegation from the Italian top-flight.

Okoye told Tribal Football: "As soon as I step on the pitch, I am always confident. But, of course, there are good and bad days. The art is to have as many good days as possible and fewer mistakes."

Okoye added: "My skill set after one year working under him (Macron) is already much wider. He goes into every little detail of my goalkeeping and ensures improvement every day."
