Marcus Rashford earns widespread praise for top-notch performances at Barcelona

The English forward has silenced doubts over his form with a string of impressive displays for the Catalan giants.

Rashford joined Barça in the summer after falling out of favour under former United manager Ruben Amorim, having spent the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa.

His move sparked a fierce battle for his signature, with several clubs keen, but it was Hansi Flick's side that ultimately secured his services.

Since arriving at the Camp Nou, Rashford has delivered eight goal contributions in his last seven matches, reaffirming his reputation as one of Europe's most dynamic attackers.

Even in Barcelona's recent 4-1 defeat to Sevilla, the forward was on the scoresheet and among their brightest performers.

The England international has received glowing appraisals from teammates and pundits alike, who believe he is thriving under Flick's guidance.

"The important thing is that he gains confidence, and scoring two goals in this stadium, in his home country, will help him," Flick said after Rashford's brace against Newcastle in the Champions League.

"We're helping him. But I'm not surprised. He's an outstanding player, with great talent, as I said. His finishing is fantastic. We need a player like him."

His Barcelona team-mate Ronald Araujo added: "Marcus is spectacular. He does the same thing in training. We're very happy to have him with us, because he has a lot of quality and will help us a lot."
