Medeama coach Ibrahim Tanko apologises for cup exit

Medeama lost 4-2 on penalties after being held to a 1-1 draw at the TNA Stadium on Sunday.

Tanko admitted he was disappointed by the shock loss, saying his team needed to be better against the lower league team.

He said on Ghanasoccernet: "Honestly I am very disappointed we are out at this stage. When it comes to the MTN FA Cup there's no minor division one or division two team."

Tanko added that Medeama's first-half performance was disappointing before improving in the second half, only to suffer the lottery of penalties.

"I am very sorry to the fans, we hope that the next games will be better," added the head coach.
