Morgan Rogers commits long-term future to Aston Villa with new six-year deal

The 23-year-old joined Villa from Middlesbrough in February 2024 in a deal worth up to 16 million pounds. Since then, he has rapidly evolved into a central figure under Unai Emery, earning praise for his consistency, creativity, and work rate.

Rogers has already made more than 85 appearances across all competitions, contributing 18 goals and 20 assists. His performances in the 2024–25 season were instrumental in Villa's strong campaign, and his peers recognised his impact by naming him PFA Young Player of the Season.

That breakthrough year also saw Rogers make his senior England debut in November 2024, further underlining his rise as one of the country's brightest attacking talents.

This season, the forward has featured in every match so far, scoring once and providing three assists, continuing to play a vital role in Emery's dynamic setup.

According to reports, the new deal places Rogers among Villa's top five earners, reflecting his importance to the club's long-term ambitions. He becomes the latest player to commit to Villa's project following new contracts for John McGinn, Matty Cash, Boubacar Kamara, and Lucas Digne in recent weeks.

Speaking on the announcement, club sources emphasised the move as a signal of Villa's determination to retain and reward their key talents as they continue to compete on multiple fronts domestically and in Europe.
