With less than a month before the tournament kicks off, Ouahbi confirmed that Morocco will hold a preparatory training camp from May 22 to 26, giving the technical team a final opportunity to assess player readiness.
"We will have a camp with the pre-selected players who are available, which will allow us to evaluate their form," Ouahbi said in an interview with Arryadia, as quoted by Afrik-Foot.
The Atlas Lions will also play a closed-door friendly against Burundi before the final squad of 26 players is officially announced on the evening of May 26.
Ouahbi made it clear that selection remains open, hinting that new faces could still force their way into the squad.
"Everyone will have their chance, even those who were not previously with us," he added.
However, injuries remain a key concern, with several high-profile players racing against time to be fit. Among them is Achraf Hakimi, whose situation appears encouraging.
"Hakimi has enough time to recover. He should be ready for the Champions League final, and normally he will regain full fitness," Ouahbi explained.
The outlook is less certain for Nayef Aguerd, who is still recovering after pushing through injury during the Africa Cup of Nations.
"He needs rest after what he went through. Once he is fully recovered on the pitch, we will make a decision," said the coach.
Ouahbi did, however, confirm that goalkeeper Munir El Kajoui will be available and remains an important figure in the squad.
With fitness, form and late opportunities all in play, Morocco's final squad is set to be one of the most closely watched selections ahead of the World Cup.
