The 27-year-old right-back delivered a sensational performance in the ninth round of Ligue 1, scoring three goals and providing two assists to contribute directly to all five of PSG's goals.
Hakimi described the achievement as a special moment, particularly given his position on the pitch, where scoring three times in one match is an uncommon feat.
"My first career hat-trick? It's incredible, especially because I play as a full-back," Hakimi said, as quoted by Moroccoworldnews.com.
The Moroccan international credited head coach Luis Enrique for giving him the freedom to express himself offensively, while also acknowledging the role played by his teammates in creating spaces for his forward runs.
"They give me a lot of freedom, and my teammates help me a lot to find spaces. The confidence the coach has in me also helps," he explained.
Hakimi has increasingly become an attacking weapon in Enrique's tactical system, with his pace, movement and ability to operate in advanced positions making him a constant threat to opposition defences.
He also explained how his teammates adjust their positions to cover defensively whenever he moves forward.
"I feel comfortable in front of goal, and I enjoy it," he added.
The former Inter Milan defender, who joined PSG in July 2021, revealed that he kept the match ball as a personal souvenir, with his teammates expected to sign it in the dressing room.
His remarkable display comes after finishing 13th in the 2026 Ballon d'Or rankings, securing a place among the world's top 15 players for a second consecutive year.
