South Africa delivered a solid and spirited display against the higher ranked Korean team, beating the odds to advance to the FIFA World Cup knockout stage for the first time in the nation's history.
Hugo Broos had faced heavy backlash for his 'defensive' approach in the opening match defeat to co-hosts Mexico but has redeemed himself after making history with Bafana Bafana's progression to the Round of 32.
Mosimane lauded the Belgian coach when speaking to Smash Sports YouTube channel following the 1-0 victory in Mexico.
"This game was a tactical masterclass and also showing humility and also showing respect and also responding to the critics that have been around," said Mosimane.
"The shape that we played and how we started was corrected by the coach and he has built this team now coming up very well where we went to the shape that we always have been doing.
"Maybe that's why the country was crying loud so much, but he is a human and he is an experienced coach, he responded well and without being arrogant."
The former Al Ahly and Mamelodi Sundonws head coach was also impressed by the team selection for the South Korea clash, further complimenting Broos on his choices.
"He responded and started with Rele [Mofokeng] in the midfield and having Oswin Appollis on the right, having Thapelo Maseko and the striker, whether you start with [Evidence] Makgopa or Lyle Foster or Iqraam Rayners, but one striker."
Bafana Bafana will now switch focus to Sunday's Round of 32 clash against co-hosts Canada in Los Angeles.
