Muhsin Ertugral scoops Coach of the Month award

The former Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates head coach overcame both of his former teams upon his appointment at Cape Town City as a replacement for the sacked Eric Tinkler.

He managed three wins in the month of January, alongside one league defeat and City's elimination from the Nedbank Cup at the round of 32 to an in-form Sekhukhune United.

Ertugral was named ahead of Sekhukhune coach Lehlohonolo Seema and Polokwane City's Phuti Mohafe.

Babina Noko midfielder Andy Boyeli was, meanwhile, named Player of the Month as Lucas Ribeiro scooped the Goal of the Month award.

Boyeli scored four times in January, including a hat-trick against SuperSport United, while Ribeiro was recognised for his superb goal against Magesi.

His goal was selected ahead of strikes from Mfundo Vilakazi and Devin Titus.
