Nedbank Cup Champions Durban City to be honoured with trophy parade

The Citizens defeated TS Galaxy 2-1 in the 2026 final at the Peter Mokaba Stadium with goals from Mfanafuthi Mkhize (58') and Jean Lwamba (70') after Lwamba netted a 45th minute own-goal.

The club will get a chance to celebrate with their fans at the "Nedbank Cup Champions City Parade" on Wednesday, 13 May from 12:30.

A eThekwini statement read: "Supporters can expect an electrifying atmosphere filled with excitement and unforgettable moments as the City unites to honour a team that has brought pride and glory to Durban.

"Celebrate our champions with us. Join us as we welcome home Durban City Football Club following their historic Nedbank Cup victory. Let’s come together to celebrate this proud moment for the City and its people!"

The parade is set to start at King Dinuzulu Park before making its way through the city centre and concluding at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
