Nedbank Cup: Durban City, TS Galaxy gear up for underdogs showdown
Premier Soccer League newcomers Durban City will be targeting their first silverware in the Premier Soccer League when they face TS Galaxy in the Nedbank Cup final at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday.
The two teams head into the fixture on the back of contrasting form in the Betway Premiership with City occupying seventh spot while Galaxy sit in 12th after failing to register a win in their last eleven league games.
However, both sides have been impressive in the Nedbank Cup, with the Citizens eliminating Chippa United, Upington City, Lamontville Golden Arrows, and Casric Stars, with the Rockets defeating Marumo Gallants, Mamelodi Sundowns, Jacksa Spears, and Milford FC.
The clubs have met on three previous occasions, with City winning both 2025/26 Betway Premiership fixtures this season with a 2-0 score line after having beaten Galaxy in last season's Nedbank Cup Round of 16 clash.
The Durban based outfit will be targeting their first silverware in the top-flight while TS Galaxy eye their second Nedbank Cup title since their famous victory over Kaizer Chiefs in 2019.
Both sides have interim head coaches with Pitso Dladla taking over from Gavin Hunt at City while Bernard Parker leads Galaxy after they parted ways with Adnan Beganovic recently.
Kick-off is at 18H00.
