Nedbank Cup: Durban City, TS Galaxy gear up for underdogs showdown
Durban City will be targeting their first silverware in the Premier Soccer League when they face TS Galaxy in the Nedbank Cup final at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday.

The Citizens secured their final place with a win over Motsepe Foundation Championship side Casric Stars as the Rockets saw off Milford FC.
Galaxy famously lifted the Nedbank Cup trophy in 2019 with victory over Kaizer Chiefs.
Ncanana's side recorded a 2-0 win over Galaxy at the Mbombela Stadium in their first meeting in August 2025 and a 2-0 victory at the Chatsworth Stadium in February.
But despite enjoying a better league season, the defender admits that form counts for nothing ahead of Saturday's final at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium.
"Look, we've beaten them twice already this season, but going into this cup final, I don't expect it to be an easy match. It's a final, after all," Ncanana said on IOL.
"Our recent form in the league doesn't affect us because we have won so many games. I think we just didn't get the positive results in those few games, so it doesn't affect us in any way."
Ncanana added that he wants to win the Nedbank Cup not just for his club, but the Kwa-Zulu Natal province as a whole.
"Winning this will mean a lot for the club, for the fans, and for us as players. I think it is for KZN as a whole. It is not just about the support from Durban City; it is now about KZN. So, us winning the trophy will be a good thing for the province," he explained.
