Joao Palhinha shuts down Arsenal move rumours with Bayern commitment
Bayern Munich's Joao Palhinha has quashed speculation about a potential transfer to Arsenal, reaffirming his dedication to the German giants.
The 25-year-old centre-back joined the English club from Eredivisie giants Ajax Amsterdam prior to the 2024/25 season, with the team finishing the Premier League season in a respectable 11th position.
"I think he's overlooked," said Bassey about his Portuguese boss.
"I think he's, for me, one of the best managers in the Premier League, and no doubt, for sure, in a couple of years, he could be right at the top end of managing one of the best teams in the Premier League."
The former Everton and Watford manager had been linked with a move away from Craven College in May but dismissed those claims amid Saudi Arabia Pro League giants Al Hilal and Tottenham Hotspur links.
Bassey also lauded his boss, crediting him for improving him as a player and instilling a positive outlook within the London based club since their return to the top-flight division.
“He knows how to get the best out of his players," added the defender.
"Tactically, he's brilliant, and he's someone who really believes in his squad. I've learned a lot under him already, and I think a lot of people will soon start realising just how good he is."
Fulham are yet to make a signing during the current summer transfer window but have released four players including Brazilian duo of defender Carlos Vinicius and former Chelsea and Arsenal winger Willian.
