The Buccaneers are riding a wave of confidence after registering three consecutive wins, including a hard-fought 2-0 victory over Richards Bay FC midweek. Prior to that, Pirates defeated Kaizer Chiefs 3-0 and edged Polokwane City 2-1, showcasing their growing momentum in the title race.
Ndaba believes the team must turn possession into goals more effectively to maximise their advantage in the standings. "All games that we play are very important. We have to take three points because we are chasing the league," he told the Bucs media team.
"The outcome of the game was very important even though it was not easy."
He added that the squad has studied their opponents carefully and understands the challenges ahead.
"We analysed them and we were able to identify their strengths. They are good in marking, and they are good in transition, and they know how to press. It was a very difficult game. It wasn't easy at all," Ndaba said.
While pleased with recent results, the defender stressed the need to convert scoring opportunities when they arise.
"We needed plenty of goals but we were unable to score them. We will get chances; all we need to do is convert the chances," he added.
Pirates face a determined Siwelele side, currently sitting 11th on the log, as the Buccaneers aim to continue their winning streak and strengthen their challenge for the 2025/2026 Premier Soccer League crown. With momentum on their side, Pirates know that clinical finishing could make all the difference in the tight title race.
