'Nothing positive to say' - Luis Enrique furious as PSG lose before Champions League final

'Nothing positive to say' - Luis Enrique furious as PSG lose before Champions League final

Despite already securing a fifth straight league title, PSG produced a flat display on Sunday, with their head coach openly questioning the team's attitude and intensity.

"Nothing positive to say about this match," Luis Enrique told reporters after the game.

"When you play football without ambition or intensity, this is the sort of thing you'd expect to see.

"I knew before the match how difficult it would be to play this sort of game with no objective, but I'm a bit disappointed."

The defeat raised concerns about PSG's focus ahead of their biggest test of the season. The French champions are now without a competitive match until May 30, when they face Arsenal in the Champions League final.

Luis Enrique admitted motivation will be a key issue in the build-up, especially after a long and successful domestic campaign.

"I think my players need to overcome difficult matches and stay motivated," he said.

"The final part of the season will be more complicated than usual because last year we played in the French Cup final and that was very motivating for us.

"But there are still two weeks to go before what I'd call the most important match in our history, and I certainly hope that by that day, there'll be no need to motivate the players."

PSG will now turn their attention fully to preparing for the European final, where Enrique is demanding a response from his squad after a warning sign in their final league outing.
